Dental websites typically function as digital brochures. The brief was different: every page needed to move visitors toward a booking action. Rewriting the UX hierarchy, CTA placement, and pricing transparency to shift user intent required structural changes, not cosmetic ones.

Dental is among the most competitive local search categories. Ranking for high-intent terms like "emergency dentist Heywood" or "dental implants Lancashire" required treatment-specific landing pages, structured schema markup, and a clean internal linking architecture, not just keyword stuffing.

Build the Brand Foundation First
Before a single line of code, brand positioning was locked. A refined visual identity (clinical whites, trust-building navy blue, premium typography) was established as the governing design language. This ensured the website, AI agent, and marketing materials all spoke with one consistent voice. Patient confidence starts with consistent, premium presentation.

Every service page was structured as a conversion funnel: clear headline, treatment overview, transparent pricing (where possible), trust signals (experience, qualifications, reviews), and a prominent booking CTA. Service accordions allowed patients to self-educate without overwhelming the page. Mobile-first development ensured speed and usability on the device most patients use to search.

Dental-Specific AI Training
The AI agent was trained from the ground up on Hopwood's specific services, pricing bands, team credentials, and operating hours, not adapted from a generic template. Compliance guardrails were embedded at the training level: the assistant never offers diagnoses, never commits to exact prices for complex procedures, and always routes genuine dental emergencies to direct contact. This made it deployable with confidence in a regulated healthcare setting.

SEO as Infrastructure, Not an Afterthought
SEO was built into the page architecture from the start, not bolted on at the end. Each treatment page was structured around a primary keyword cluster, with H1/H2 hierarchy designed to match search intent. Local schema markup was implemented to strengthen map pack and local SERP visibility. The internal linking structure was designed to funnel authority from high-traffic pages to high-value treatment pages.

The standout element of this project was treating all six workstreams as a single, integrated system. The AI knows the same pricing as the website.
